Review: Soju Sugar Drop

The Soju Sugar Drop is one of those dildos you almost force yourself to love because. . . it’s fucking orange.  Seriously, when’s the last time you saw a bright orange sex toy that was silicone as well.  I was overly impressed.  It also comes with its own clear acrylic stand.  While I found this to be incredibly unnecessary, it was still a nice touch.

So, enough about me liking that it’s orange – How does it actually stack up?  Sadly.  It’s kind of mediocre.  It’s both longer and wider than the LELO Ella, which for me fell short because it didn’t have a long enough handle, so I thought it would work out.  However, it just doesn’t quite make the cut.  It’s g-spot end, in addition to being very girthy, is also kind of sharp around the edges. By this I mean the head is very flat instead of being rounded around the edges and because of this insertion can be painful rather than pleasurable.

The other end isn’t painful and it does provide some g-spot stimulation, but it’s also not amazing.  It has some texture on the sides, but it’s not raised enough to be felt much.  It seems like it’s more of a decorative design.

The plus side of this is that I wasn’t a big fan of Ella either, so it may just be the shape I don’t like.  That means if you’re one of the 99% of people that are in love with Ella, you’ll probably like the Sugar Drop even better, provided you like a little girth in your toys.

Now for the run-down on cleaning:  I would assume you all know this, but just to be safe – Since the Sugar Drop is silicone you can clean it with soap & warm water, in the top rack of the dishwasher sans soap or by boiling it for a couple minutes.  You can also wipe it down with a 10% bleach solution.  If you’re going to be sharing, you need to cover it with a condom or boil/bleach/dishwasher-clean it.

Overall, I’m not nuts for the Sugar Drop.  I thought it would be the improved version of the Ella, but it just didn’t make the cut.  But as I said before, if you like the Ella, by all means, go buy this one as I’m sure you’ll absolutely love it!

Review: Jollies Thrust

When I first saw the Jollies Thrust I was a little confused, so I never really paid much attention to it.  However, I have both the Jollie and the Jollet from Jollies, so I figured I should add one more two my collection since I loved the two I had so much.  The Jollies Thrust is a 100% silicone dildo that is maybe the weirdest looking toy I’ve ever seen.  It was sitting on my wishlist forever until I finally decided I need to just face my confusion and try it out.  How hard could it be?  Dildos are pretty basic.  Lube dildo, put in vagina, thrust until heart’s content.

So here I was with my new sense of confidence about the Thrust only for it to arrive and be unbelievably floppy.  All that hope and confidence?  Down the drain.  How the fuck is it supposed to do anything when it’s so incredibly floppy?  Again, I was wrong because it pretty much works like a charm.

I absolutely am in love with the Thrust and think everyone with an orifice of any type should have one.  The idea is the when you thrust it slightly, the bulged end will massage your g-spot – and it definitely does.  Unlike some toys, the pressure provided by the Thrust is constant since the bulged end is always on the g-spot.  In one word? Magical.

My only complaint would be that since it’s so floppy, you probably want to skip using it in a harness since you’ll have little to no control of where it’s going.  You don’t want to spend half your time getting the Thrust into your ass/pussy/wherever you want it to go.

I know you guys know how to clean silicone, but in case you had a memory lapse, you can clean with soap and water, run it through the dishwasher with no soap or boil it for around 3 minutes in a pot of water.  Choose the latter two if you’re planning on sharing, or just use a condom if you don’t feel like doing those steps.

If you want to know more about the Thrust, head over to the EdenFantasys product page and watch my video.  The Fleshlight makes a cameo, so don’t miss out!

Review: Tantus G-Force

If you ask anyone I talk to regularly, they’ll tell you that I have an unhealthy obsession with Tantus.  I also got a crazy obsession with the Tantus G-Force in particular and would not stop until I had it.  Well, Eden Fantasys decided to be awesome and give me one for video review.

So what is the G-Force?  It’s an 11″ long silicone dildo with a slight curve towards the g-spot (or p-spot) and a handle.  Yes, it has a handle.  For people like me with short-ish arms who like to jack off laying on their backs, this is a life saver.  It’s long, it’s flexible and it has a handle to maintain your grip.  For those of you unacquainted with Tantus silicone, you should know it’s firmer than most, so even though the G-Force is long and not overly thick – 1 1/4″ – it’s firm enough to provide a decent amount of g-spot stimulation.

Now, I can’t squirt with this toy since it isn’t a hard material like glass or metal, but you may not have the same experience.  However, I wouldn’t get the G-Force looking for your first g-spot orgasm or unleashing your hidden ability to squirt – it’s probably not going to happen with this one.

You’ll want to sterilize your G-Force by boiling, spritzing with bleach solution or putting it through a soap-free dishwasher if you’re going to share it, or if you’re going to use it anally and then vaginally.  You don’t want to end up with a nasty bacterial infection.

The G-Force is smooth without any texture, so if you’re a texture queen, this isn’t your toy.  However, since it’s thin and smooth, it would make the perfect introduction to anal stimulation for both sexes.  If you head over to the product page on Eden Fantasys, you can see some reviews of it by men who have used it for prostate stimulation.

Overall I would recommend this to anyone of any gender.  I think it’s fabulous!

Review: Bwarm Massage Candles

I decided that I wanted to do a video review of a product that was a little more fun to explain than a silicone dildo, which are the things I usually end up doing.  I chose all three scents of the Bswish Bwarm massage candles – rose & patchouli, fig leaf, and amber.  All three of them are very different, so I wanted to start out with the scent descriptions of each,

Rose & Patchouli: It smells much like straight rose (think rose essential oil) plus a bit of spice, but honestly, the spiciness doesn’t show up that much so it is pretty much pure rose.  However, it’s not strong, so don’t worry about being overpowered by the scent.

Fig Leaf: Fig leaf is probably my favorite of the three.  It’s light and fresh – kind of like it smells in the spring after it rains.  This one would be the best choice for people with fragrance sensitivities or people who just like fresh scents.

Amber: Amber is the darkest smelling candle.  It smells like wood, spice and a little bit of resin.  I would recommend this one for people who like deeper scents such as sandalwood, but not someone who is sensitive to fragrance as it’s a strong scent.

So the question is, how do they work?  Very well.  The wax burns quickly, so you only have to let it burn for 5 minutes or so before there is enough wax melted for a back massage.  Obviously if you want to do full body, you’ll need to let it burn quite a bit longer.  Soy wax burns at a low temperature, so you don’t have to worry about burning anyone with the wax as you pour it out.  Just make sure to let it sit for at least 3 seconds after you blow it out before pouring it on skin to make sure.

The candle holder is made of silicone and therefore is easy to pour from.  Also, if you want to make your own candle after the massage candle is gone, you could always melt down any soy wax candle and pour it in the silicone holder, although that might be a bit too much effort – I would probably just buy a new one and find something else to do with the old candle holder.

The oil itself spreads well and isn’t waxy.  It also absorbs well into the skin, so you don’t have to go shower after you’ve gotten a massage.  Overall I would definitely recommend these candles to anyone who wants to try a new method of massage.  My video shows more about each candle.

Review: Better Than Chocolate

When EdenFantasys gave me the opportunity to review the Better Than Chocolate I had mixed feelings.  I’ve read some really awesome reviews of the BTC and then some reviews that stated the BTC was a little lacking in power.  Nevertheless I decided that I should at least try it for myself and see what the fuss is about, so I accepted the offer.

The Better Than Chocolate is a clitoral stimulator made of TPE by a new company called Nomi Tang.  It is controlled with a touch-strip (think like an iPod) and has some variance in vibration levels as well as a few pulsations.

So, let’s cut to the chase here.  The BTC is a sex toy meant to get you off, but it fails miserably.  I turned on the BTC and was slightly hopeful and as level of vibration seemed okay for a low level. . . then I found out it was the highest level.  Yep, it starts out at the top.

Okay, so it’s not too strong, that means it would be great for foreplay right?  Nope.  It’s just damn annoying.  It’s not high enough to get you off, but not nice enough to use for foreplay.  It’s not good enough to use as a warm-up for a long masturbation session either since it frustrates me more than gets me ready for more.

The Better Than Chocolate is waterproof, but I haven’t tried it underwater as I have no bathtub.  I did however use it in the shower, which was not a problem as the battery pack stayed dry, however, the power was still really disappointing.  After a few minutes I got out of the shower and went for my trusty Eroscillator to finish me off since the BTC could not.  The touch strip is set to lock when it senses water, but since shower water is constantly moving it kept constantly changing my setting, which was beyond annoying.

Unless you’re incredibly, incredibly sensitive I would pass this one up.  I’m giving it a one on “vroom” even though Eden Fantasys defines a one as “Very mild, extremely low level of vibration, great for newbies, foreplay and extra sensitive areas.”  I would redefine that as, “Barely good for anything unless you’re really, really sensitive.”  As mentioned above, this is definitely not worthy of being a foreplay toy.

I’m giving it two stars since I think the design showed some effort even though the touch-slide turned out to be more annoying than helpful and the overall shape is a little clunky.  Unless you really want to spend way too much money ($80) on a toy that’s only going to sit on your dresser and look pretty invest in something more useful like the Fun Factory LayaSpot (for around $47) which I’ve had for way over a year and it still works great.
