Review: Bwarm Massage Candles
Feb 18th
I decided that I wanted to do a video review of a product that was a little more fun to explain than a silicone dildo, which are the things I usually end up doing. I chose all three scents of the Bswish Bwarm massage candles – rose & patchouli, fig leaf, and amber. All three of them are very different, so I wanted to start out with the scent descriptions of each,
Rose & Patchouli: It smells much like straight rose (think rose essential oil) plus a bit of spice, but honestly, the spiciness doesn’t show up that much so it is pretty much pure rose. However, it’s not strong, so don’t worry about being overpowered by the scent.
Fig Leaf: Fig leaf is probably my favorite of the three. It’s light and fresh – kind of like it smells in the spring after it rains. This one would be the best choice for people with fragrance sensitivities or people who just like fresh scents.
Amber: Amber is the darkest smelling candle. It smells like wood, spice and a little bit of resin. I would recommend this one for people who like deeper scents such as sandalwood, but not someone who is sensitive to fragrance as it’s a strong scent.
So the question is, how do they work? Very well. The wax burns quickly, so you only have to let it burn for 5 minutes or so before there is enough wax melted for a back massage. Obviously if you want to do full body, you’ll need to let it burn quite a bit longer. Soy wax burns at a low temperature, so you don’t have to worry about burning anyone with the wax as you pour it out. Just make sure to let it sit for at least 3 seconds after you blow it out before pouring it on skin to make sure.
The candle holder is made of silicone and therefore is easy to pour from. Also, if you want to make your own candle after the massage candle is gone, you could always melt down any soy wax candle and pour it in the silicone holder, although that might be a bit too much effort – I would probably just buy a new one and find something else to do with the old candle holder.
The oil itself spreads well and isn’t waxy. It also absorbs well into the skin, so you don’t have to go shower after you’ve gotten a massage. Overall I would definitely recommend these candles to anyone who wants to try a new method of massage. My video shows more about each candle.
